First view of 'The Egg'

I've just seen the finished product for the first time of  'The Egg' a film by Scott Craig.

This was shot at stupid o clock in the morning in Oxfordshire and it was bloody freezing but still fun to make. The story is based on a short story by Andy Wier. I played Adam who after an argument with his girlfriend storms out and ends up getting hit by a car and killed.

Adam wakes up in a strange place and is eventually greeted by God who is played by Tony Manders who I have performed with many times on stage but never on film, who explains the meaning of life to him.

I'm really happy with the way it ended up, I love the beginning and some of the outside shoots are lovely.

You can view it here:

 Hope you enjoy it.

Back At It!!

Good God, it feels like ages since I've done anything, normal life and normal work getting in the way too much but now at last I'm heading back onto the stage.

I have just been cast in the role of Marcel Courbois in 'Keep an eye on Amelie' a french farce. It doesn't open until November but rehearsals start soon and I can't wait to get going.

Milaeon

Well, 'The Egg' is all finished and done.

A 5:00 am call in the middle of a field in Oxfordshire wearing just a T-shirt. It was freezing but as long as the footage is OK, I don't mind. As always, I'm Looking forward to seeing how the finished product turns out.

In other news, I've just enjoyed a workshop on acting for TV and Film held by Milaeon. I enjoyed meeting Mike at Milaeon, seems like a hard working, dedicated person and I have now joined their books as an actor. I'm hoping to gain opportunities to raise my profile in the industry and intend to make the most of any chances I receive.

Looking forward, I've just been offered a small role in an independent feature which I will be shooting in June so I'm looking forward to that.

April 2011

Have been really busy both writing and acting in murder mysteries this month. I have written three, the third of which will be performed later this month.

I have had the fantastic experience of working with a brilliantly talented group of film makers making an entry for Sci-Fi London's 48hr Challenge which this year is being judged by Edgar Wright (writer/director Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz & Scott Pilgrim Vs the World). The team received the title, a compulsory prop with action and a particular line of dialogue on the Saturday morning. The entire 5 minute film was then written, filmed and edited before being handed in on Monday morning. A wonderful experience and brilliant achievement by everyone involved. The final product will be posted on my YouTube page as soon as I am able.

February & March 2011

No film work over the last couple of  months  but I have been busy editing my showreel.

I have however been writing my 5th murder mystery which I will also be acting in at the end of the month.

Murder mysteries are always so much fun, especially when the audience get really involved.

Zealous and Irresponsible are nearing the end of the editing process too now so I'm looking forward to seeing them.

January 2011

It's been a busy January completing the filming of Zealous.

Zealous is a short film in which Jack finds himself in a most unwelcoming environment. On his own  in a strange place it's amazing the thoughts that pass through your mind and how you start to miss those things you didn't realise you had so good.

Shooting was a lot of fun (despite being accidentally punched in the face by the director) and I am looking forward to seeing the final result.

December

A single day shoot for Irresponsible is now complete. It was a fun shoot and it'll be interesting to  see how the final cut ends up.

Worked with some very passionate people on this film.
